A food store is encouraging people to donate to a foodbank which has been a lifeline for more than 2,000 residents in crisis in the borough.
Budgens, in Stoneleigh Broadway, now has a bin in-store for people to drop off their donations for the Epsom and Ewell Foodbank.
The foodbank provides a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to local people and has fed 2,600 people since it started in October 2012.
The foodbank is particularly in need of:
- Instant custard
- Instant mash
- Shower gel for females
- UHT milk and fruit juice
- Tinned puddings, meat and vegetables
- Shampoo and deodorants
- Washing powder and washing up liquid
- Sugar
- Biscuits and chocolates
For more information call Vicky Jones at Budgens on 020 8786 7346 or Jonathan Lees at Epsom and Ewell Foodbank on 020 8786 8221.
