Imprisoned council leader Derek Osbourne will not get a pension from Kingston Council and was never entitled to one, the authority has confirmed.
The authority was responding to a Freedom of Information request asking whether Osbourne, jailed for two years for possessing and distributing indecent images of children, was included in the council’s pension scheme.
Some councils chose to include councillors in the pension scheme, but Kingston did not, it said.
