A quantity of jewellery and currency was stolen from a home in Hersham on Monday.
Police are appealing for information following the burglary, which happened at a house in Burwood Park Road, between 6.15pm and 8pm on February 3.
It is believe the burglars forced entry into the house through the front door before making an untidy search of the house.
PC Sally Michail, from North Surrey CID, said: “We take offences such as burglary very seriously and I would like to assure the residents that we are doing everything possible to track down those responsible.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen, heard or know anything relating to the burglary to contact us.
“Perhaps you were in the vicinity at the time and thought something seemed strange. Perhaps you saw an unknown vehicle or unfamiliar people that were not known to the area.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who has been approached to buy items of jewellery.”
Anyone with information should contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference 45140008593, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
