Brooklands College enjoyed a visit from Absolute Radio’s breakfast show team last week when the college was used as the set for a music video.

Presenters Christian O’Connell and Richie Firth filmed a parody of Lionel Ritchie’s Hello music video at the college on Wednesday, February 5, with Johnny Vegas the guest director.

The breakfast show team chose the Weybridge college for its facilities and varied locations, which were needed to replicate scenes from the original video.

Performing arts and dance students from the college also got involved in the action, acting as extras in many scenes.

Iain Patterson, performing arts lecturer, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity for our learners to gain some hands on experience of filming.

“Not only did they learn about the rigours of working under pressure to produce material, they also had a great time working with Christian, Richie and Johnny.

“The day filled us all with a much needed dose of fun and excitement on a wet and miserable February day.”
