NO plans for Valentine’s weekend? Children already bored of half-term? Here are Emily Ray’s top five events in the Hillingdon area this week for under £5.

Cycle to Windsor Led Ride (Sunday Feb 16)

If you haven’t quite been keeping up with your New Year’s ‘Get Fit’ resolution, then a cycle to Windsor and back may be just what you need. Meeting at 9:45am at the statue in front of Uxbridge station, you will cycle the 10 or so miles to Windsor. Rest assured, there will be regular rest stops along the way, plus time in Windsor to have a wander round the castle and high street. Participation is free, but bring bags of energy.

Feed the Birds! (Tuesday Feb 18)

Children can get crafty at Colne Valley Park Visitor Centre from 11am until 12:30pm. The workshop costs £3 per child, but children must be accompanied by an adult, and booking is essential – email sarah.hodgett@groundwork.org.uk or call 01895 833375.
