COMMUNITY decline in Ealing will be discussed at a public meeting on Wednesday, February 19.
Delegates from Ealing Council and West London campaign groups, including Local Works, will discuss community decline and potential solutions.
Speakers are council deputy leader, Cllr Ranjit Dheer, Nick Ferriday (Ealing Friends of the Earth), James Watson (Campaign for Real Ale) and Steve Shaw (Local Works).
The Sustainable Communities Act will be the focus of discussion following a community initiative to save local pubs.
The Act enshrines “bottom-up” decision-making in law, enabling communities and councils to work together to receive central government aid.
The meeting will be held at the Telfer Room in Ealing Town Hall, New Broadway, W5 2BY at 7pm on Wednesday, February 19.
The meeting will be chaired by director of Unlock Democracy, Alex Runswick.
All are welcome and there is no entry fee. Complimentary refreshments will be provided.
