The world’s first "genetically modified string quartet" will be bringing the best of classical and popular tunes with a twist to the Epsom Playhouse next month.
Stringfever combines electric instruments, live beat-boxing, musical skill and a talent for involving and engaging audiences. The group’s show-tunes medley is often run with a prize for anyone naming all 20 correctly.
Ravel's Bolero will involve two volunteers plus four Broadbents, all playing one cello at the same time.
There will also be The History of Music in Five Minutes which features 40 tunes, all packed into a frenetic five-minute finale.
