Send your ideas for Kingston Heritage Open Days 2014
Have you ever walked past a building in Kingston and thought: “I'd love to know what the inside looks like”?
Well now is your chance to find out, as the Kingston Society is taking suggestions for the 2014 Heritage Open Days (Hods).
Last year more than 1,500 enjoyed free access to some of the borough’s most iconic, historic and stylish buildings, including the Ballet Boyz studio in Canbury Park Road, the Lambeth Waterworks building in Seething Wells, Surbiton, and the impressive St Raphael Roman Catholic Church in Portsmouth Road.
Although not until September, the society is keen to hear from anyone with an idea for a new building previously not included in the open days programme.
Organiser Julia Rees said the society was particularly interested in buildings outside of Kingston and the town centre.

Mrs Rees said: “The open days provide a rare opportunity for free access to significant buildings in the Royal borough of Kingston that are not normally open to the public or usually charge an entry fee.
“We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to visit some of them.
“Please let us know of any other buildings that you would like to see included in Hods this year. We are particularly keen to include buildings from across the borough, including the Maldens, Surbiton and Chessington.
“They do not have to be that old, they just have to interesting.”
