Children will have a wild time this half term at Painshill Park.

The Cobham landscape garden holds a wild woodland camp to keep youngsters at bay, with a wide range of activities from tracking and den-building on offer.

Kicking off the week will be a day of wild winter art, with scarecrow making, cave painting and tree tolls all on the schedule.

A day of bushcraft will follow, with youngsters given the chance to enjoy and explore the outdoors with den building and fire making.

But no fire would be complete without the obligatory hot chocolate and marshmallows and the day will certainly not disappoint.

Midway through the week, on Wednesday, February 19, winter wildlife will be the focus of the day.

Children will enjoy tracking for winter animals, making fat balls for birds and seeing what creatures have passed by in the night with a footprint collector.

The penultimate day of the wild woodland camp will be filled with an extreme hunt, twilight games and treasure and, as the week draws to a close, attendees will enjoy bushwhacking and bivouac building.

As part of the last day of the camp, youngsters will take the off road route to the wild woods, learn how to square lash knots and build a survival shelter in the woods.
