An alleged Twitter troll has denied sending abusive messages to MP Stella Creasy.
Peter Nunn, of Emersons Green in Bristol, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with sending obscene or menacing messages over a public communications network.
He entered a not guilty plea and will reappear at the same court on March 20.
Ms Creasy, the Labour MP for Walthamstow, was the target of abuse last summer, including rape and bomb threats, after backing Caroline Criado-Perez in a campaign for a woman to appear on a new Bank of England note.
Nunn was charged on January 24.
John Nimmo, 25, of Tyne and Wear, who targeted Ms Creasy over Twitter was last month jailed for eight weeks for sending abusive messages to Ms Criado-Perez.
