People in Enfield once again have the chance to club together for cheaper energy this month.

Enfield Borough Council is joining 22 other London boroughs in the Big London Energy Switch to help residents make a collective bid for lower energy prices.

When prospective customers have signed up, energy firms are invited to pitch for their custom with lower tariffs.

In last year's scheme, 26,000 people across the capital took part with an average saving of £122 on their energy bills.

Councillor Chris Bond, Enfield Council’s cabinet member for environment, said: “Energy prices are on the rise, and at a time when it is important to get the best deal on fuel prices I would urge everyone to look into this scheme ,which will help make your money go further with energy companies.

“Get ready for the next cold snap and register by 17 February to make the big switch, and save cash."
