A youth centre in Weybridge is set to re-open later this month after closing for refurbishment.

To celebrate the opening, a relaunch event will be held to allow the public to view the new facilities and meet the staff at Weybridge Youth Centre, Portmore Road.

Activities including a climbing wall, table tennis competition, mocktail making and music will also be on offer for visitors.

Funded by Surrey County Council and delivered by the Eikon Charity, the youth centre works with young people to develop their social and personal education.

Centre manager Darius Baird said: “Our new youth centre provides young people with a dedicated space where they can socialise and access information and support. We are excited about the future of the youth centre and look forward to welcoming young people through our doors.”

The launch event will be held at the centre on Friday, February 21, from 3pm to 6pm and the centre will be open two nights a week during tem time, with programmes run during school holidays.
