Police investigating the murder of a woman in Earls Court have issued a picture of the man they would like to trace in connection with her death.

Detectives are looking to locate Robert Richard Fraser, who is also known as Robert Aleem and Shia Robert Jackson.

Police launched a murder investigation after they were called at approximately 1pm on Friday to reports of a body found at a flat in Earls Court Square.

Detectives believe the body had been there for a number of days.

A post-mortem examination at Westminster Mortuary on Sunday, 2 February and gave the cause of death as blunt trauma to the head.

Next of kin have been informed.

The victim is Maria Duque-Tunjano, aged 48, a British national originally from Colombia who lived in Streatham.

Police have established that Maria was a sex worker who used the flat in Earls Court Square for her work. It is believed she was robbed of cash during the assault.

Officers are now linking another attack on a female sex worker at an address in Paddington on January 18with this murder. On that occasion the woman, aged in her 20s, was assaulted and robbed by a man - she was not seriously injured.

Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, leads the investigation.

She said: "We have established that Maria was last seen alive on Tuesday, January 28.

"We also understand she was in the company of a man and our primary focus is to trace him as part of this investigation.

"It is now our belief that this man was also responsible for an attack on another female sex worker in Paddington. It is imperative that we trace him as soon as possible.

"We have spoken to organisations with links to those who work in the sex industry to make them aware of this incident and pass on the message that personal safety of sex workers is of paramount importance."
