Cyclists in Mitcham are being urged to get on their bikes to fight heart disease as a charity ride wheels through the town this summer.
The British Heart Foundation’s (BHF’s) London to Brighton Bike Ride, which celebrates its 39th year this June, has just opened for registration.
Last year the Ride London route passed through Merton, in areas including Raynes Park and Wimbledon town centre.
Cyclists could soon be getting a boost if a £32m Merton Council plan to create a 'Mini Holland' in Wimbledon gets the funding. The London to Brighton event will see people pedalling 54 miles from south London to Brighton seafront.
To find out how you can register for the BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride, visit bhf.org.uk/L2B or call 0845 1308663.
