The jury has retired to make its decision in the case of a man who denies attempting sexual acts with animals.

Paul Lovell, 60, is on trial for outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner, namely trying to commit sexual acts with cows and sheep.

The former computer engineer has denied the allegations that he tried to commit sex acts with animals at Archers Wood in Whitewebbs Lane, Enfield on September 4, 2013.

At Wood Green Crown Court, Judge James Patrick summed up the case to jurors this morning, and reminded the panel that they must be sure he was outraging public decency.

He told the jury that the they must be sure that Mr Lovell was not naked but was attempting to commit sexual acts.

He said being naked in the field would not be enough to bring a guilty verdict.
