Commuters will be able to pick up their supermarket shopping at London Underground stations across Barnet as Tesco joins Transport for London’s click and collect scheme.
People will be able to pick up online shopping orders from stations on their way home.
Asda currently has click and collect services at East Finchley and High Barnet stations, and following its success Tesco plans to roll out a similar service at Finchley Central and Arnos Grove stations from February.
Mike Brown, managing director of London Underground, said: “The primary role of our stations must always be travel and we will never compromise that, but there is much more we can and will be doing to improve and modernise our stations to ensure they meet the wider needs of our busy customers.”
