A reality show which will follow the “young, beautiful and affluent elite” in Surrey is set to hit screens next month.

Surrey Hills, which will feature locations in Esher, Weybridge and Cobham, will be unveiled to the public in four weeks time via social media, with a number of short teaser videos in the run up to show airing.

Filming of the programme and its cast members Benny Rose, Holly Jennings and Alan Watts took place over three days, beginning on January 20, with the help of a professional producer and director.

Jo Hallows, producer of Surrey Hills, previously produced Grange Hill and Hollyoaks, and successfully took the soap from one to five nights per week.

Ms Hallows said: “Surrey Hills will be visually stunning, sleek and stylish in its execution. It will make you laugh and make you cry. The audience will warm to the characters, will admire their courage and cringe when they realise the lengths they will go to, to realise their dreams.

“Despite coming from the wealthiest households and the best schools, none of our cast expects handouts. They all have their own dreams and goals and they will walk over anyone that attempts to stand in their way.”

Bafta-winning director David Richardson, who previously worked on Hollyoaks and EastEnders, is also working on the show.

Oliver Thomas, one of the creators of Surrey Hills, said: “We are thrilled to have Jo and David onboard.

“Their achievements to date have been truly amazing and we are excited to move the Surrey Hills series forward under their direction.”
