A BROCKLEY brewery's pale ale has made it all the way to the country's most powerful pub - the House of Commons' bar.

The Brockley Brewing Company were invited by Lewisham East MP Heidi Alexander to have their ale stocked at the Strangers' Bar in Westminster.

Brewing since last March in a former builder’s workshop, the brewery has proven a great success gaining solid support amongst beer drinkers in the area.

Ms Alexander said: "It has been a pleasure to share a taste of Brockley’s finest beer with Westminster colleagues.

"The Brockley brewery has gained incredible local support and is a real asset to our Lewisham community, brewing wonderful craft beers and supporting other businesses particularly pubs and bars that are at the heart of our local communities."
