A teenager who was arrested during a police raid where a dog was shot dead by armed officers has appeared in court.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found in a house in New Addington on Wednesday afternoon.

He has been charged with aggravated burglary, five counts of robbery and five counts of possession of an offensive weapon in relation to four offences in Lambeth.

The 17-year-old was set to appear in Camberwell Magistrates’ Court today.

Also appearing at the court today was Terrick Thompson, aged, 18, of Hythe Road, Thornton Heath.

He has been charged with aggravated burglary in connection with an incident in Croydon on January 14.

Thompson was also charged with five counts of robbery and five counts of possession of an offensive weapon in relation to four offences in Lambeth.

Police have also charged a 15-year-old boy with aggravated burglary, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and driving a vehicle without valid insurance or driving licence in relation to an offence in Croydon on January 14.

He has appeared at Croydon Youth Court and his next appearance date is not yet known.
