This year's Surrey Artists Open Studios event will run for more than two weeks in June with studio locations all over the county.

The event showcasing the work of artists and craftspeople across Surrey will run from Saturday, June 7, to Sunday, June 22.

Offering the public the chance of direct access to artists and makers for an insight into how artwork is produced, the event will see artists and makers opening their studios for viewing, demonstrations and the chance to buy original works of art. The range of work featured will include print-making, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, painting, wood-turning, sculpture, illustration and glass work.

Some artists will also offer workshops, which can be either short taster sessions or more intensive courses. These will generally take place either during the dates of the Open Studios event or soon after.

The Surrey Artists Open Studios brochure will be available from April or May in libraries, from Guildford Tourist Office, in art venues and at event taster shows.
