New neighbours gathered for the opening ceremony of 14 affordable homes in Mitcham.
Siobhain McDonagh, MP for Mitcham and Morden, cut the ribbon at Phoenix Close estate on Tuesday, January 21.
The £2.4m development was built by Wandle Housing, a social enterprise that manages 7,000 homes across South London.
Built on the site of a disused factory, the four-bed family homes feature solar panels and are close to a primary school, playground and large park.
Two of the houses are wheelchair adaptable homes. Wandle received a £312,000 grant from the Greater London Assembly to help fund the development.
