If you have pledged to create a new you in 2014, the Heart’s farmers market will have plenty of healthy treats in store as it makes its return to Walton.

With the festive period now a distant memory and new year’s resolutions in full swing, there will be healthy food aplenty at the market to help those who are hoping to eat healthier and kerb the weight gained over the holidays.

The first farmers’ market of 2014 will fill the main plaza of the shopping centre with locally grown fruits and vegetables, farm-fed meats, homemade chutneys, fresh cheeses and more.

With more than 40 stalls on offer, and the chance to meet butchers and bakers and gain expert advice, there will be something to suit all tastes.

Mark Middleton, general manager of the Heart, said: “The farmers’ market is a great place for all those looking to eat fresh, organic, and local. After a Christmas of over indulgence, in the new year people are trying to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and are more concerned about what they are consuming.”
