A ceremony to commemorate the millions who died during the Holocaust will take place at a museum in Tottenham today.

This year's Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony will take place at Bruce Castle Museum, in Lordship Lane, at 2pm.

The theme for the ceremony is 'journeys' and it will focus on the journeys of the persecuted.

The service will also remember the victims of subsequent genocides such as those in Rwanda, Cambodia, Bosnia and Darfur.

Guest speakers at the event include Holocaust survivor John Salter, local community leaders and recently crowned Tottenham Young Poet Laureate Janache John-Baptiste, 16, who will perform a poem called The Journey.
