A WOMAN may have been carjacked in Catford after a man stopped her car and clambered into the back seat.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened outside the Cash and Cheque Express store in Davenport Road yesterday (January 23) at around 2.30pm.
A man, who had just had an argument with a shop worker, stood in front of, and stopped a sliver or light blue coloured small car with a lone woman driving.
He then got in the back and the car drove off. Police say i is unclear if the driver of the car is connected to the man, but witnesses reported that the driver appeared to have driven off under duress.
Officers are keen to hear from the woman driving the car to confirm that she is safe and well.
She is described as black and possibly aged in her 30s or 40s.
The man is described as of Mediterranean appearance, aged in his 20s or 30s and around 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a grey hoodie, a black top and black jeans.
