Library and museum service volunteers in Enfield have been recognised for their hard work.
People who work at libraries across the borough were rewarded for their work in children’s activity support, helping people with computer skills and reading challenges.
Staff received a customer services excellence award from the Cabinet Office for their customer satisfaction rating on January 13.
Councillor Bambos Charalambous, cabinet member for culture, leisure youth and localism, handed out certificates to volunteers.
He said: “Library volunteers contribute so much to the service, performing a number of roles such as helping people get online and assisting residents to use library services.
“There are also specialist language clubs and music volunteers, the roles are exciting and varied.
“Library volunteers come from all sections of society and are across all ages, and this week I was delighted to be able to thank them officially for all the work they do.”
