Details of the 10th E17 Art Trail have been announced.
The 10th community event will be the first to take place during summer, having moved from September to June.
Organisers decided on the change to allow greater involvement from schools and to raise the profile of the event by hosting it at a time when fewer art events are being held across the UK.
The event was not held in May 2013 because it was thought to be too soon after 2012’s trail in September.
Running from May 31 until June 15 this year’s theme is ‘inhabit’, chosen by organisers to reflect the “diversity and distinctiveness of this artist-rich London postal code”.
The event features art displays, performances and workshops at a range of venues across Walthamstow.
The 2012 art trail presented work by more than 3,500 artists in locations including residents’ homes, shops, parks, galleries, gardens and pubs.
Artists must register by March 3.
