Business owners are invited to a drop-in session to find out more about a business grant scheme set up by Elmbridge Council.

The Elmbridge Civic Improvement Fund (ECIF), established in 2009, provides grants to businesses to help towards improvements such as marketing initiatives and skills and training schemes.

The session, from 8am to 10am on January 21, will allow business owners to find out more about the scheme, hear success stories and receive guidance on the application process.

The ECIF has given more than £900,000 to businesses and projects in Elmbridge, and more than 100 applications have been approved, with any projects benefiting the Elmbridge economy eligible.

Councillor John O’Reilly, leader of Elmbridge Council, said: “Elmbridge Council has continued its commitment towards a thriving local economy through the ECIF business grant scheme.

“There are funds still available to apply for and I would strongly encourage local businesses to take advantage of the support.”
