Pupils at Cobham Free School enjoyed a maths-filled week on their return from Christmas holidays.
Among the range of activities on offer, children followed maths trails in their classes, worked on adding and subtracting in French, learned about orienteering and maps in PE and counted the different shapes visible around the school building.
Children in year 4 also discovered how they could use binary notation to make magic cards, and showed off what they learned in the final assembly of the week.
Andrew Smith, deputy headteacher, said: βIt was a wonderfully lively and enjoyable week to start the new term, and the children loved seeing their maths come alive.β
