EALING children could lose out on primary school places if parents do not take immediate action.
Parents must submit their admissions application by this Wednesday, January 15, or risk missing out on their first choice of school.
Cllr Jasbir Anand, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “There is tremendous pressure on primary places in Ealing and parents shouldn’t assume they are guaranteed their first choice of school.”
Applications require parents to select schools in order of preference.
Last year, those who applied on time were offered a place at a borough school.
Cllr Anand highlighted the importance of selecting six schools as some Ealing schools receive more applications than they have places.
She said: “Late applications seriously affect a child’s chances of being offered a place at one of their preferred schools.”
London-wide, nearly 95% of applications received a place at one of their top three choices last year.
This year, parents will get the result of their application on Wednesday, April 16.
Apply via the Eadmissions website or via a paper form collected from an Ealing primary school or Ealing Council’s admissions service.
