A choir whose history spans 80 years is seeking new members.

Walton Voices, which recently appointed a new musical director, hopes to grow and strengthen its links with the community and further field.

The choir is currently rehearsing for a concert, which will take place at the end of March, will include Faure’s Requiem and Allegri’s Miserere, as well as little known works by Baltic composers Rihards Dubra and Arvo Part.

A choir spokeswoman said: “Joining us is a great opportunity to learn new music, improve your singing technique and share with others a love of this very special music.

“We have a calendar of social events open to all members too. We would love to hear from anyone interested in joining us.”

Walton Voices rehearses at Walton Methodist Church, Terrace road at 8pm on Tuesdays.
