Two men have been charged with assault after a man was attacked at a snooker club in Redhill.
The attack happened in the toilets at Qs Entertainment in London Road at about 1.20am on Saturday (January 11).
The victim, a man in in his 40s, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, for treatment.
A Surrey Police spokeswoman said: “A short time later, two men were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
“William Bridger, 19, of Raleigh Drive in Smallfield, and George Smith, 22 of Selbourne Square in Godstone, were charged with assault.”
They were due to appear at South East Surrey Magistrates Court in Redhill as Life went to press today.
