A woman was taken to hospital after her car flipped onto its side on the mad mile.

A fire crew from Epsom and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called to Brighton Road in Banstead at about 4.15pm yesterday, January 12, to find the woman had got herself out of the car.

A spokesman for Epsom Fire Station said: “There were no casualties and they were all out of the vehicle by the time we turned up.”

A spokesman for LAS said: “We were called to reports of a car on its side in Brighton Road, Banstead at 4.15pm.

“We sent one ambulance crew to the scene.

“Staff treated one female patient who was already out of the car.

“She was checked over and taken to Epsom Hospital.”
