Fans of Cliff Richard, The Hollies and Roy Orbison are in for a treat with an evening of entertainment packed with classic tunes.
Peter Howarth, lead singer of The Hollies and a long time singer and guitarist with Cliff Richard, will be performing a choice selection of solo acoustic arrangements of hits including Devil Woman, Miss You Nights, Carrie, He Ain’t Heavy He’s My Brother, Jennifer Eccles, Pretty Woman and Only the Lonely, at Epsom Playhouse.
He will be joined by special guest star Michael Armstrong, Banstead’s singing builder.
Howarth completed two tours with The Hollies in 2013 and will be back on the road with the band in Autumn. One of the few British pop groups of the early 1960s, The Hollies have never officially broken up and continue to record and perform.
The band was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
