A SYDENHAM pub has been temporarily closed by police following two disturbances.
Police visited the Pavilion in Kirkdale on December 21 to investigate an attack from the day before which had left a 59-year-old man with facial injuries.
But, when they arrived, they were told that a serious disturbance had taken place whilst they were on route.
As a result, a 54-year-old man was arrested for perverting the course of justice and has been bailed to a date in January pending further enquiries.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on December 28 on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and has been bailed to a date in February pending further enquiries.
A temporary suspension of the boozer's licence has been made and will be reviewed by a Lewisham Council committee on January 16.
