Figures have been released revealing the number of households in Enfield still watching television in black and white.
In an age of set-top boxes, home entertainment systems and ever expanding flat screen televisions, statistics from TV Licensing show a hard core of 37 homes are still watching black and white sets.
Almost half a century after colour televisions were introduced, the number watching black and white TVs in Enfield is more than double that of Barnet which is 15 homes, while across London the number watching in black and white has fallen to 2,334 in 2014.
Nationwide the figure has dropped below 12,000. At the turn of the millenium, it was around 212,000.
