Teddington High Street missed out on being crowned high street of the year.
The area made the shortlist of 10 high streets across the country for the Daily Telegraph’s year-long reinventing the high street campaign which aims to regenerate historic shopping communities.
The judges, chaired by Brandon Lewis MP, announced Deal in Kent as the winner from the shortlist created from more than 500 nominations made by Telegraph readers.
Totally Locally Teddington organised a series of initiatives to encourage residents to shop locally and support independent traders including the Fiver Fest Fortnight and the Teddington Tenner campaign last year.
