A mother from Walton has created a singing group with a difference.
Ali Graves, 35, a former member of Surrey Music, approached the group to set up Thula Mama, a weekly singing group for mothers and babies.
The group was designed to nurture the needs of parents and their babies, with singing and fun in perfect harmony.
Rather than offering a grant, Surrey Music invited Mrs Graves to join the society and establish and manager her creation as a branch of the musical group.
Mrs Graves said: “I am very much looking forward to providing a relaxed, friendly and secure haven in Walton where other mums or dads can come along with their pre-crawling babies and feel supported while learning a new skill.”
Weekly classes will be held on Wednesday mornings, starting on January 15.
Anyone interested in joining should call 0300 1213344 or email ali.graves@thulamama.org.
