The grandmother of a four-year-old girl who died in a flat fire in Edmonton last month has died as a result of the blaze.
Colleen Springer, of Solomon Avenue, Edmonton, died of organ failure on Monday, December 23, following a fire which ripped through her flat on Thursday, December 19, 2013.
The 50-year-old, who is disabled, was treated at an Enfield hospital for her injuries. Her four-year-old granddaughter, known locally as Tamiyah Springer, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The girl was mourned by neighbours and Ozlem Bastug, who lives in the flat opposite described her as a “happy child.”
