Christmas cards and wrapping paper can be recycled at a supermarket in Potters Bar as households clear out their homes after the festive period.
Sainsbury’s in Darkes Lane will be collecting unwanted cards and paper until January 14 and has pledged to recycle all of the donations it receives.
The chain has also promised to make a donation to the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), the size of which will depend how many cards are donated.
Cards and wrapping paper can be placed in the box inside the store.
