A family who cancelled Christmas to look for their lost labrador are offering a reward for her safe return.

The Dowding family have been left distraught after their four-year-old pet Lily, a black labrador, went missing in Crane Park in Twickenham on Christmas Eve at about 3pm.

Owner Colin Dowding, 54, said the family had searched every day since they lost their dog, which was wearing a red collar.

He said: “We have been walking through all the local parks in the area.

“Fellow dog walkers have made contact with us saying that they will help with the search.”

The family have advertised missing Lily with doglost.co.uk and will give a reward for her safe return.

Mr Dowding said: “We just want her back. It would mean everything.”

If you have seen Lily, contact the Dowding family on 01932 788784 or 07775 860964, or call Dog Lost on 0844 8003220.

Will look out for Lily and really hope you are reunited with her soon. If someone has taken her - do the decent thing and give her back to her owners. She will be missing her family as much as they are missing her.

Lily is still missing and it is now clear she was stolen from Crane Park Twickenham. Dog thieves are operating in this and neighbourhing Boroughs.

If you know who stole Lily, or you have been offered or bought an adult female black Labrador Retriever since Christmas Eve - or someone in your road / estate / flats has suddenly acquired a dog fitting her description, please do get in touch or take Lily to a Vet.

Although she is not an old dog, Lily has distinctive greying around her chin and some grey around her knees.

There is a substantial reward offered for Lily's safe return and she needs to be reunited with her family, who are missing her terribly.
