Detectives are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted in a tube station car park.

A 32-year-old woman boarded a number 34 bus near The Griffin pub in Whetstone on Christmas Eve, and began talking to a male passenger.

The pair both got off the bus outside Arnos Grove London Underground station in Bowes Road, and it is believed the woman was then sexually assaulted in the car park between 10.15pm and 11pm.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Jordan said: “Unwanted sexual behaviour of any kind is not tolerated anywhere on the rail network and we take all reports seriously.

“If you were at the station at the time, or saw any suspicious activity, I’d urge you to come forward and speak to officers investigating this incident.”

The suspect is described as black, in his late teens to early twenties, 5ft 9ins, of large build with a one inch scar on the right side of his top lip. He was wearing a black bomber jacket and dark coloured trousers.
