Christmas trees can be recycled for free at a designated drop-off point in Potters Bar.
People can bring their old trees to Oakmere car park, in High Street, Potters Bar, between 11am and 2pm Saturday January 4.
Householders are reminded they cannot put Christmas cards in their blue box or brown bin - but they can be taken to Marks and Spencer, Morrisons or Sainsburys throughout January.
They can also be taken to the recycling point in Furzefield car park, Mutton Lane, Potters Bar.
