Firefighters from Horley's Technical Rescue Unit joined colleagues from Crowborough in East Sussex rescuing a horse stuck in a muddy field.
The team went to a field off Bonnetts Lane in Ifield at just after 11.30am last Saturday (December 28) to help the horse, which was unable to stand.
The crews used heavy rescue and lifting equipment to raise the horse and successfully lifted it to stand, and then left the animal in the care of a vet.
