Dartford Crossing closed due to high winds
THE Dartford Crossing has been reopened after closing due to high winds.
The QE2 bridge was closed for nearly two hours from 1.30pm onwards.
As of 3.30pm the Highways Agency announced the crossing is open again though long delays in the area remain.
Southbound traffic had been diverted to use the east bore of the Dartford Tunnel while northbound travellers were using the west bore.
