A volunteer who helps people lose weight and get in shape met a famous TV presenter at an annual awards ceremony.
Jackie Toserkani, who runs a Slimming World Group at East Finchley Methodist Church, in High Road, cuddled up to Paddy McGuinness at the group’s awards in Birmingham.
Ms Toserkani was invited to the awards ceremony by Slimming World’s chair and founder Margaret Miles-Bramwell.
She said: “I’m so proud of all of my members – many of them have achieved their target weights and been able do things they never thought possible before slimming down.
“But as well as seeing success on the scales, we’ve had a lot of fun throughout the year too.
“I can’t wait to see what 2014 holds for the East Finchley Slimming World group.”
Stand-up comedian Mr McGuinness, who presents ITV1’s hit dating show Take Me Out and presented the awards, said: “I was genuinely amazed to hear about what a difference consultants like Jackie make to people’s lives.”
