A terminally ill teenager was taken on a special flight to meet Santa as a Christmas gift.

As part of Thomas Cook’s ‘flight of dreams’- terminally ill children were given the chance to fly in a plane for an hour, where they were greeted by Santa Claus, who handed out presents and goodies.

Molly Pinnock, 13, from Enfield, suffers from Alagille Syndrome – a genetic disorder which affects the liver, heart, kidneys and other systems in the body.

After the flight took off from Gatwick, the pilot made the plane dip in the sky as though Santa had landed on top of the plan, much to the delight of those on board.

Molly’s mother, Sharon, 40, said: “Molly's had four lots of heart surgery since she was a baby. Alagille's syndrome affects one in 100,000 people so it's very rare.

"She's been in shock about today and she's so excited. She didn't know about it until I told her this morning."
