A BRIT school student took to the stage to celebrate an open mic night's sixth birthday.
Lawrence Rowe, a 17-year-old musician from Croydon, performed a number of hits including a Rihanna song at the Blessed Souls UK’s music showcase.
Other performers at the event included The Voice UK finalist J Marie Copper and MOBO award winning rapper Jahaziel.
Young singers performed sets and also offered a personal insight to the crowd on what the songs meant to them.
Blessed Souls UK began as a monthly open mic night, finding new talent in venues across London.
The event was hosted by founder Adelaid Mackenzie, a former BRIT school student.
Organiser Reuben Massiah said: “Many of the medleys and impromptu performances showed just what Blessed Souls UK is all about, premiering a new generation of talented artists.
“For six years the music showcase has been a towering force for giving a platform to the next generation of artists. I felt lucky to be there.”
