An operatic society serendaded shoppers during its annual charity fundraiser this week.
About 25 singers from the Finchley and Friern Barnet Operatic Society visited Asda supermarket in Southgate on Wednesday and sang Silent Night, Ding Dong Merrily on High and Away in a Manger.
The charity was singing to raise money for Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, which cares for 900 children suffering life-threatening illnesses.
The society's publicity officer Chris Henry said: “It's always a great pleasure to help raise money and awareness for a charity such as Noah's Ark Children's Hospice. The work they do is tremendous and we can't thank Asda and their customers enough for their generosity.”
The group raised £184.40 during the evening.
Next year, the society will stage two musical productions - Honk and Mack & Mable - at The Intimate Theatre in Palmers Green.
