Prawn crackers helped a Chinese restaurant raise more than £13,000 for orphans in Thailand.
The Cock and Dragon, in Chalk Lane, Cockfosters, encouraged clients to ‘donate while you dine’ for a month.
For every portion of prawn crackers sold, 25p was donated, and customers were given the option to add £1 to their bill.
Money raised is being sent to the Baan Tharn Orphanage in Khao Lak, Thailand, for the 9th anniversary of the Boxing Day tsunami in 2004.
