A formal wear shop is going mobile after a decade in business.
Jo McLaren Formal Wear leave Teddington on Saturday and will load fabric samples, suits, highland wear, wedding attire and accessories into a delivery van and hitting the road.
Business partners Jo McLaren and Andy Charman decided not to renew the lease on their shop in Waldegrave Road.
Mrs McLaren said: “Andy and I live in Teddington and we’ve enjoyed having a high street shop but the world of retail is changing and we’re excited to be changing with it.
“Since I set up the business 10 years ago, we’ve prided ourselves on offering a highly personalised service; taking time with each customer to help them make the best selection for their needs.
“By going mobile we’re taking that personal service one step further. Without the commitment of the shop keeping us rooted to Teddington, we can be much more flexible.”
The formal wear business will have pop-up shops in pubs and hotels around the borough and also has an outfit builder app to help grooms-to-be select their wedding attire, share it via email and have a sample of it delivered to them to try on for free.
Jo McLaren formal wear will hold a clearance sale until this Saturday. Head down for up to 60 per cent off.
